You can partner with local businesses to offer a goody bag to each attendee or partner with a local hair/make-up artist, nail salon, or others for a prom prep giveaway.
2. Start a Prom-Specific Social Media Accounts
As a bridal shop, your target audiences are very different when it comes to age and interests. These differences can make it difficult for your shop to share content that is interesting and engaging to both audiences. A great fix for that issue? Separate them! Try having an overall bridal shop social media account, but also have a prom-specific one. This helps separate the target audiences so that you can provide information, participate in trends, and showcase dresses that interest all of your followers!

Unlike weddings that happen throughout the year, local proms usually stay on a consistent schedule. You can use this to your advantage by finding out when local high schools will be hosting proms, and setting up paid ads to run specifically for your prom dresses the months before. Using this time-specific ad strategy along with location targeting and prom-specific keywords, paid ads will be your best friend during the prom season!
4. Highlight your Prom Sales
Be sure to snap a quick picture of every girl/guy with their prom attire to share on your social media and tag them! By tagging them in your shop’s Instagram stories, you can increase the chance that they will reshare to their own story, putting your shop directly in front of your target audience! This can also help ensure that every girl feels special when picking out their prom dress since it is such a big occasion!
