Are you posting the right content to the right social media platforms to reach your target audience? Social Media Platforms and their algorithms can be picky about what format content can be in and what type of content is shared, but you can ensure your content performs the best by optimizing your content for each platform. Optimizing your social media content for different platforms is also a great way to ensure all of your followers are seeing unique, engaging content from your shop!
Check out this guide to optimizing your content for different social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Tiktok!
Instagram:
Instagram is seemingly constantly changing how its algorithm works and what content will work best on the platform. However, recently Instagram’s chief Adam Mosseri said that Instagram had gone too hard on pushing videos and will look to make photos more of a focus once again in 2023.
Now while video will still most likely be a big part of Instagram, this message means that your shop may want to start utilizing photo content as well! These photos should be high-resolution photos of your shop’s dresses, behind the scenes, or user-generated content,
Facebook:
Facebook, similar to Instagram, has also been pushing video content as videos have been receiving a higher average engagement than images and links. These videos could be live videos of events your shop hosts or sharing your Instagram Reels on the platform. Along with video content, content featuring how-to guides or blog post summaries is also best for sharing on Facebook!
Pinterest:
Similar to other social media, Pinterest is a platform for inspiring others and sparking creative ideas. This means when sharing your content, try framing it in an inspirational way. You could do this many ways but could also be as simple as making an Idea Pin titled “Garden Wedding Dress Inspiration” to share some of your shop’s dresses! Pinterest is different from the other social media platforms, however, because it asks as a search engine similar to Google. This means that the captions and titles you write for your pins play a much bigger role in helping you reach brides than your Instagram captions do. To make sure you are using keywords that users are currently searching for, try using Pinterest Trends to find trending keywords to incorporate!
TikTok:
If you’ve spent any time on Tiktok, then you know that Tiktok is all about the trends! Participating in these trends whether by using trending audio, doing a silly dance, or applying it to your own life, is a great way to engage with your audience. Along with trends, using the right hashtags can help your account find your ideal bride! When choosing your hashtags, try to choose a mix of common and niche hashtags. Using a mix of these two won’t make your video seem too generic or too specific and will help TikTok’s algorithm get your content to the right audience! Need help finding trends or hashtag ideas? Try using TikTok’s creative center to see what’s trending in different industries on TikTok!
