What is Batch Creating?

Batch Creating is planning content all in one sitting. This can be useful especially for busy owners so that you aren’t scrambling for ideas the day of. Batch creating can also help your content be better as you are able to get fully into the mindset of speaking for your brand, making your content more consistent and easier to create.

Step 1: Set a Time Boundary

The first step to batch creating is to know when you are creating the content for. This can be next week or even next month. It may not be optimal, however, to batch create content too far ahead as trends in both social media and the wedding industry can change. If you do decide to plan far ahead, however, be sure to give yourself some wiggle room. Once you have decided when your content will be for, find a way to plan it out. This could be a list, calendar, or a content planner such as this one.

Step 2: Look up Holidays

You may be asking yourself “so how do I get ideas?” Great question! The next step in batch creating is to look up any holidays that may be within your chosen time frame. Looking up these holidays on calendar websites can help you find unique holidays to play off of such as National Tell a Fairy Tale Day. While these holidays can be fun to use and create great content, be sure to only use holidays that have, or you can create a clear link to your shop/brand. This will ensure your message brings any post interactions back to your bridal shop.

Step 3: Choose Content Buckets

After placing your holiday-based content into your calendar, start brainstorming different content buckets for the rest. Content Buckets are different categories that showcase a different aspect of your shop. They can also be focused on what your buyer personas say that your brides want to hear. They can be, for example, dress inspiration, team/owner details, reposts from customers’ weddings, and many others. Create a list of different ideas. You will want 1 content bucket for each day of the week that you plan to post. Remember, the goal of your content is to create trust between you and your brides so be sure to choose content buckets that highlight the personality of your brand/team.

Step 4: Fill in dates with Content Bucket Ideas

To fill in the rest of your content plan, use content from each bucket 1x a week. You can do this on random days, or you can assign a content bucket a day of the week. For example, you can choose to do Motivational Mondays or Style Sundays. When creating your plan, be sure to mix up the type of content that you plan to post. Utilizing all types of content such as reels, static posts, and carousels will help you grow organically on platforms. Also be watchful of the type of content you use on what days. Sundays, for instance, are a good day to post reels/Tiktoks as Sundays have the lowest activity of the week. However, the algorithm will show reels/Tiktoks in non-date specific ways, allowing for more chances that your customers will see it.
