Looking to get to know your target customer a little better? The best way to do that is to find out more about your past customers. Sending out a customer feedback survey to brides who have purchased from you is the perfect way to get to know a little bit more about your audience.
Our Tips for Creating a Customer Feedback Survey
Creating a customer feedback survey may seem easy. But, there are some crucial things that you’ll want to keep in mind to get the most impact from it!
Feel free to keep it simple
There’s nothing wrong with keeping your survey simple! Customers are much more likely to fill out a survey if it’s short and sweet. If a bride opens the survey to find page after page of questions, they will probably click off of it.
If you go this route, our recommendation is to stick to:
- Name
- Location (city/state)
- 5-star rating
- Open-ended feedback form
This gives your brides the opportunity to say anything that’s on their mind. You’ll be able to see how they felt about their stylist, if they had any issues during their appointment, and more.
Always ask for their location
If you are creating a customer feedback survey, you will always want to find out where they live. This is going to give you the chance to keep track of where the majority of your customers are coming from. That is super helpful when you’re figuring out where to target your ads to!
Separate bridal customers from other customers
There are different ways to accomplish this, but find a way to separate your bridal customers from your other types of customers (tux, mother, bridesmaids, etc). This could be as simple as including a question in the survey to ask them what type of appointment they had. Or, you can simply send out a different survey to each type of customer.
Whichever way you choose, this will let you separate your feedback by type of appointment. You may want to know different things about different types of customers.
Remember to use the feedback
We know this may seem obvious, but you would be surprised at the number of businesses who have customer feedback surveys, and then just let the feedback sit there! Make sure that you are periodically going to your results page to read the results, and keep them in some sort of database. We recommend checking on them monthly.
From there, use your results. If you find that customers are making the same suggestions for your shop, then you might want to think about implementing it. If you find that a lot of customers are coming from a particular location that you aren’t currently targeting, then you may want to try targeting it.
