If you haven’t heard yet, our beloved Canva just got an exciting new update! Canva is a great resource for easily designing graphics with templates for everything from Instagram Stories to LinkedIn Banners. They’ve recently also expanded with a Canva Docs update, which basically lets you make documents that are branded and visual pleasing! So what does this mean for bridal shop owners?
Well, here are 3 ways to use the Canva Docs update in your marketing of your bridal shop!
1. Generate Leads
The first way to use the Canva Docs update is lead generation. Now you may be thinking, “how does making pretty documents generate new leads?”. Well, using Canva Docs you can more easily make what is called Lead Bait, or a resource that brides receive after giving you their email address. The key to these documents is that you provide value to brides through educating them about something in the industry, such as different veil types, or by creating a template to help them in wedding planning, such as one to help plan their bridesmaid dresses! With Canva Docs this process gets even simpler because now you have all of the industry knowledge needed for these resources, and Canva makes making them look beautiful and on-brand easier than ever!
2. Blog Content Ideas
If you’ve ever struggled with writing blogs for your bridal shop’s website, Canva Docs can also help out! This new update also introduces their own AI writing tool called Magic Write. Basically, this tool allows you to write a prompt such as “Write about brides finding their dream wedding dress” and the Magic Write tool will provide you with a paragraph or two on the topic! Now although this tool is not a substitute for your own knowledge gained through working in the industry, it can be great for generating new ideas or getting inspiration if you can’t figure out how to word something correctly!
3. Team Collaboration
Finally, the new Canva Docs update also help your shop turn marketing into a team effort with content calendars and other templates available. We’ve talked about how to engage your employees in marketing before, and one major tip is to ensure that everyone is up-to-date about what content needs creating and what promotions are upcoming for your shop. Canva Docs can help with this with easy-to-edit templates for calendars/worksheets you can hand out to team members or post behind your desk.
