Create Awareness

If your marketing goal is to create awareness for your bridal shop, utilize your social media profiles to regularly post information about the different services your shop offers. These posts could explain the types of appointments your shop has, dress options, or designers you carry. When building awareness, providing information is key so provide details about any sales/events across all your platforms for brides to stay informed. Also ensure your social media explains your brand to brides even when not posting by listing all important information on your profile, such as links to the most referenced pages of your website.

In addition to creating awareness with your social media profiles, creating a Google Business Profile can help with this goal. Having this ensures that when brides search for bridal shops in your area, your bridal shop gets showcased in an easy-to-read way. Read our guide to using Google Business Profiles to learn more about using this tool to create awareness.

Manage Reputation

A goal of managing your bridal shop’s reputation can also be helpful for building interest and desire. A great way to do this is to share pictures of real brides on your social media pages and share brides’ testimonies! By showing that other brides have found their dream dress at your store, you can start to create a brand community that brides want to become a part of. Also, don’t forget to respond to any reviews that your shop receives on Google, The Knot, or other websites. Responding to reviews, both positive and negative, show brides that you value their opinions and that you want them to have the best experience possible with you!

Managing your reputation, however, is not a goal that only focuses on bridal testimonies. It also is based on what you are known for in the industry. For example, you can have a positive reputation for being consistent in the type of content you publish and ensuring to use hashtags that are relevant to posts. If you post random content or use irrelevant hashtags, your shop may seem sketchy to brides and can lead to a bad reputation. Networking within the wedding industry is also a great way to ensure your reputation in the community is good. Who knows, your next bride may come from a recommendation from her wedding planner!

Strengthen Relationships with Brides

Another important marketing goal you may have is to strengthen your relationship with brides and build a brand community. One way to strengthen this relationship is to consistently interact with brides’ content on social media. Setting aside even 5 minutes to like, comment, or follow your brides’ socials can make a big difference in showing them you care! You can also start conversations with brides on social media by asking their opinions using Instagram Story stickers, post captions, or new Instagram Notes.

In addition to strengthening your relationship with brides by opening communication, you also want to continuously express your gratitude to brides, making the relationship feel like a 2-way street. Expressing gratitude online or creating a community using a rewards program are great options to help you accomplish this goal.

Provide Support to Brides

To achieve your marketing goals of supporting brides to take action, you can take a few different steps. First, clearly stating store policies and having other frequently asked questions on your website are great options. Providing resources for brides on your website or through follow-ups is also perfect for this goal as you continue to provide value to and engage your brides.
