A Stress-Free Weekly Marketing Routine

As you move through your day-to-day life working at your bridal shop and coming home tired, hopping on your shop’s social media to like and comment on posts probably isn’t the first thing you want to do. And that’s understandable! And since January is National Get a Balanced Life Month, we are here to help you set up a weekly marketing routine to help your social media grow and help you keep your sanity!

Monday

Let’s start with the dreaded Monday. Moving off the weekend, we will keep this day simple and focus on posting content rather than engaging with other accounts. On Monday, try to set a time to:

  • Schedule your posts for the week (or next, depending on your schedule)
  • Ensure last week’s posts were sent correctly if you use auto-publishing software and respond to comments
  • Respond to all DMs

Tuesday

Moving on to Tuesday’s marketing routine, we are focusing more on engaging with accounts on your platforms. Engaging with both brides who follow you and those who don’t will help current brides feel valued by your shop as well as help new brides find your shop!

  • Engage with your home feed for at least 5 minutes
  • Explore the recent posts on common industry hashtags
  • Explore the recent posts on nearby location tags
  • Comment on at least five posts

Wednesday

Try to keep your tasks simple in the middle of the week, when you most likely have a lot on your mind. To give yourself a little break, focus today on exploring trends and saving anything that sticks out to you or sparks an idea!

  • Send an Instagram Note message to your followers
  • Scroll Instagram Reels/Tiktok for at least 15 mins saving trending audios

Thursday

Now that you’ve engaged with the content of other accounts, we also want to show support by choosing to follow the brides’ or industry experts’ accounts. Following others is a great way to show brides that you are interested in their entire love story and show other wedding businesses that you are open to networking!

  • Follow at least 5 new users who don’t follow you
  • Take a look at what other bridal shops in your area are posting

Friday

Finally, take your scheduled time on Friday to look back at your posts. Look at the analytics of each post, reel, or story to see what type of content got the most engagement. Also, look for similarities in that content to help support content creation for next week! For example, did photos with cooler-toned dresses do better, or did long-sleeve dresses? Identify what your brides are currently looking for to better create content!

  • Analyze the week’s posts’ analytics
  • Note any similarities in the posts that did well such as their type or content
