5 SMS Follow Ups for your Bridal Shop

Following up with a bride whether it be after an appointment, a trunk show, or a visit to your website can be a great way to add a personalized touch to your marketing. Personalized marketing helps to build emotional loyalty to your brand so that brides feel valued, heard, and a part of your brand’s community. So what kinds of SMS messages should you be sending to build this loyalty and community? Here are 5 SMS Follow Ups to incorporate into your bridal shop’s marketing!

1. Status of Appointment SMS

Has a bride just booked an appointment? A great way to start a conversation is with a confirmation SMS! Now, this may seem basic, but a simple message saying “we can’t wait to meet you!” can go a long way to making brides feel comfortable. This can then go a step further to include appointment reminders the week of or the day before so that no bride is left behind! These reminders/confirmations can also include what brides can expect when they get to your shop such as a little introduction to who their stylist will be and a fun fact about them!

2. Measurement Request

Another option to offer could be the ability for brides to send in their measurements through text if they don’t want to be measured for their dress size in-store. This can help brides feel more comfortable and confident knowing that their measurements will not be shared with others in their group and that your store will have dresses in their size!

3. Appointment Follow Up

Of course, following up with an SMS message after an appointment is another simple, but great idea! In the case that a bride did not find her dress at the appointment, you could share a “hope to see you back soon” message and a link to book another appointment. If your bride did find her dress at the appointment, you could use the opportunity to not only thank her for choosing your store but send over their “I said yes!” photos!

4. Exciting Promotion Announcement

Just like Email Marketing, exciting announcements of promotions are an engaging way to continue SMS contact with brides! However, you will want to ensure that you segment your SMS messages so that brides only receive messages that are of value to them. A bride who just said yes would not find value in an announcement of new dresses! Instead, provide messages that help make their life easier with bridesmaid dress options, mother-of-the-bride ideas, a coupon to a tux fitting, or new veil designs!

5. Review/Picture Request

Segmenting your SMS list will also help with enabling you to send messages to brides who found their dress to leave you a review! Be sure to add the link to review your store within the message to make the task as simple as possible! You could also request the usage of their bridal portraits or wedding photos after their big day to showcase real brides wearing your dresses on your social media!
