4 Steps to Including Your Team in Marketing

When marketing your bridal shop, it can seem like a lot for one person to do. But you aren’t alone! Marketing your bridal shop does NOT have to be a one-man job and can actually involve your entire team! Involving your team in marketing your bridal shop can seem counterproductive at first while they may need help in the beginning but training them will pay off! Not only will it help lower the workload for you, but it will also help in ensuring that your content stays fresh and is humanized with different voices speaking for your brand. So how do you get your team started in marketing?

Identify Your Team’s Strengths and Weaknesses

As with any decision as a manager, it is important to choose the right people for the right tasks according to their strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you have a younger stylist who is good at reaching a high-school aged audience, have them in charge of making content showing off your prom dresses! Identifying these strengths can your team with the transition into starting to create content for the brand.

Set Daily Content Goals

Telling your team to simply create content will probably end up with inconsistent posting or confusion around posting. Instead, try to set specific content goals for every day or week. These goals can be met with daily content creating or with batch creating. A goal could be, for example, 3 stories a day and 3 reels a week. This gives your team a set number to reach and an idea of what needs to be done.

Create a Posting Schedule

Along with knowing how much to post, your team will need to know when to post. This will especially be important if your team batch creates and makes their 3 reels within the same day. These schedules could look very different, but we recommend using a web-based planner such as Planoly. With this type of planner, your team could upload content as they create and schedule the post ahead of time. It also offers a great place to house all your content, so none goes unused!

Collaborate on Ideas

Once you have a system in place for you team to become involved in content creation/marketing, encourage your stylists to help brainstorm ideas! New ideas that they have seen trending or audios can make your content more fun for them to create as well as more relatable to brides. To gather ideas, try having your team share example posts to the shop’s Instagram, keep a shared google doc, or download our FREE INSTAGRAM REEL PLANNER!
